Design: King-Kong (Stefano Giovannoni and Guido Venturini) The King-Kong figures, which take up the theme of playful design using ”emotional codes” and are among the most cited examples, made their successful debut on classic objects from the ancient Alessi tradition, such as trays and baskets. Shortly thereafter, they began to multiply and also conquered other areas outside the table and kitchen. Alessi has committed itself to transferring the search for maximum cultural, aesthetic, executive and functional quality into industrial production in order to respond to the need for happiness, art and poetry with its products, a need that is common to all human beings.
